Goliath was built by Intamin in 2002 and was the tallest coaster in the Netherlands for years. The first drop is 46 metres at 70 degrees and gets you to 106 km/h in under three seconds. The rest of the ride — two airtime hills, a spiral, a high turn — runs for 1 minute 40.
The queue
Wait times sit around 30 minutes on weekdays and can climb to an hour in peak season. For the shortest queue, ride Goliath right after the park opens or in the evening after 17:00.
Who it's for
Minimum height 1.20 m. If you have a fear of heights, be careful — the lift is open and the first drop is startling. Otherwise, Goliath is a must, and to convince yourself: stand near the central plaza and watch how quiet the train gets on the first hill.
Tip
The back row gives the most airtime. The front row gives the best view towards the IJsselmeer. We personally love riding it around 18:00, just before sunset.
